A small lab. Big ambition.

NexisPhos Research Lab was founded in 2026 in Indore on a single conviction: small businesses across India deserve software as good as anything Bangalore startups buy — at honest prices, on real timelines, from people who actually pick up the phone.

Why this lab exists.

For a decade, India's best engineering talent has built products for Silicon Valley, while Indian SMBs limp along with broken Wix sites, ₹2L "agency" projects that ship six months late, and freelancers who ghost the moment something breaks.

NPRL was built to fix that asymmetry. Senior engineering. Honest pricing. Real timelines. No middlemen, no project managers reading scripts, no offshore handoffs.

We work like researchers — every engagement is an experiment with a measurable outcome. Every shipped project teaches the next one. Every client gets the same disciplined methodology, whether they're a ₹15K café or a ₹3L diagnostics chain.

And every fellow we train carries that methodology forward — into their own startups, their own jobs, their own teams. That's the long game.

The rules we actually follow.

Every team has values pinned to a wall. These are the ones we'd defend in front of an angry client.

/ 01

Ship beats perfect.

A live, imperfect site running for six months teaches more than a "perfect" design that never launches. We bias toward shipping, then improving.

/ 02

Honest scope or no scope.

If we can't deliver in the timeline you need at the price you can afford, we say so on day one. No padding, no false promises, no scope creep.

/ 03

You own everything.

Domain, code, design files, content — yours, fully transferred at launch with documentation. We don't hold projects hostage to keep clients.

/ 04

Senior eyes on every commit.

Fellows can write code; only seniors approve it. Every PR, every design, every deploy — reviewed before it touches a client's reputation.

/ 05

Boring tools, sharp execution.

We use Postgres, not "the latest graph database." We use Next.js, not whatever's trending. Boring tools last; sharp execution wins.

/ 06

Fellows are colleagues, not labour.

Every fellow gets credit, code review, and a real shot at a paid offer. We don't extract; we apprentice.

How we got here.

2024 — THE PROBLEM

The frustration.

While freelancing as a software engineer, I watched friends running cafés, clinics, and coaching centres in Indore get quoted ₹1.5–2L for websites that took six months to ship and looked like 2018. Something was broken.

2025 — THE EXPERIMENT

First pilot projects.

Built three websites for friends at near-cost — a café, a clinic, a designer's portfolio. Every one outperformed expectations. The model worked: senior eyes, fixed scope, honest timelines, real outcomes.

2026 — THE LAB

NexisPhos Research Lab founded.

NPRL incorporated as an applied software lab in Indore. Cohort 001 of the Fellowship Program opens. First commercial engagements begin scaling beyond the founder's circle.

2027 — THE NEXT CHAPTER

What's next.

By end of 2027, we aim to ship 100 client projects, run 4 fellowship cohorts, and launch our first internal product. The lab keeps expanding — one experiment at a time.

Built by builders.

Right now, NPRL is intentionally small. As the team grows, fellows from our program take the seats — that's the point.

The Founder

LAB LEAD · ENGINEER · MENTOR

Software engineer with a multi-year track record building production systems for SMBs and startups across India. Believes the next decade of Indian software won't be built in Bangalore — it'll be built in the Indores, the Bhopals, the Jaipurs, by small teams who actually understand the customer.

Founded NPRL to prove it.

Two ways to work with the lab.

As a client — bring us a project. As a fellow — bring us your ambition.
